Nominations are now open (until May 18) for the inaugural IABC Victoria Bronze Quill Communicator of the Year Awards.

To cap off a record year of awards (with nine Gold Quills and four international Chapter Management Awards), IABC Victoria is proud to announce a prestigious new awards program for Victorian business communicators.

The IABC Victoria Bronze Quill Communicator of the Year (CoTY) Awards provide a unique opportunity to acknowledge truly out of the ordinary communication excellence.

Unlike most other communication awards programs, the CoTY Awards celebrate the individual. They aren’t based on projects, but on the ability of a communicator to deliver the very best day in, day out. As such, they will become a powerful statement that will support the winners’ careers for years to come.

Just as importantly, the CoTY Awards are open to everyone… not just the most experienced among us. CoTY Awards are being made available in three categories:

  • Emerging star (up to 4 years industry experience)
  • Established (5 to 9 years industry experience)
  • Senior leader (10+ years industry experience).

The CoTY Awards will be judged by a senior selection panel. Depending on the category, the panel will be looking for qualities such as:

  • Exceptional leadership, management and communication skills
  • The ability to deliver measurable value
  • Initiative in the management of communication programs
  • The highest ethical and professional standards.

Are you ready for a life-long career boost?

You can nominate yourself or a colleague or team member for a 2015 CoTY Award. Nominations are now open and you can submit your nomination up until 5pm, Monday 18 May.

A full outline of the nomination requirements is provided in the call for nominations guide, which you can read below or on our Slideshare page.

Once you’ve submitted your nomination, just pull out your most glamorous gear and get ready for a big night at our upcoming IABC Victoria Bronze Quill Gala Dinner on 3 June. The CoTY Award announcements will be an undoubted highlight of this year’s Gala.

Good luck to all of you. There’s one thing we know for sure. With the incredible depth of communication talent we have in Victoria, judging these awards is going to be a hard task!
