CEO of WorkSafe Victoria

We are delighted to host Joe Calafiore as this year’s orator. Joe, the newly appointed CEO of WorkSafe Victoria, brings a wealth of experience from his 15 years at the Transport Accident Commission, including eight years as CEO. 

Joe will draw on his expertise in corporate and external affairs, combined with his background in public policy, to provide valuable insights on how effective communication can unify and lead diverse groups in today’s increasingly polarised world, and deliver tangible organisational benefit.

The IABC Victoria Deb Ganderton Oration is an annual event founded in 2022 honouring the legacy of Deb Ganderton, a respected leader in public communication, former CEO and former President of IABC Victoria. 

Known for her commitment to excellence and integrity, Deb's work inspired many in the communications field. This oration brings together leaders to explore the vital role of communication in leadership, fostering unity, authenticity, and positive social impact.
